More good Tory opportunityism
It sometimes seem that whatever I hope will be Tory policy on Monday becomes so on Tuesday, or thereabouts. Thanks to Bob for the heads-up on this one, from Shadow Tory foreign secretary, Michael Ancram."Our relationship to the United States will be one of genuine partnership not of subservience. When we disagree we will say so. Where we can persuade we will do so."
I once said that although Tony Blair would jump into a lake if George Bush asked him to, Iain Duncan Smith would empty the lake of water, then jump in, just to prove he was willing to go further. The new Tory leadership seems made of better stuff.
