House Prices
I have mentioned before that if one was to vote purely on economic grounds, it would have to be for the Conservatives, for their standard mismanagement of economic policy, and the resulting high interest rates are the only way in which we are going to get sensible house prices anytime soon.Nevertheless even a Tory chancellor is unlikely to be able to get Notting Hill house prices down to a level where I might be able to afford one. According to yesterday's Sunday Telegraph, the average house in the area has risen by a monumental 27 times since 1980.
