Alan Milburn
There's an article in the Observer today which suggests that Gordon Brown will become PM when Tony Blair steps down, not -- as the events of this week might have implied -- Alam Milburn.Eh? Did I miss something? Alan Milburn's not even been in the cabinet for the last 18 months, and I don't recall him being very effective when he was. And surely you can't want to spend more time with your family, and then a few years later want to be PM?
