Yikes!
Having spent Saturday in a rainy Norfolk, I agreed to meet a friend for lunch in Borough, London, for a lazy Sunday afternoon's lunch and drinks.Leaving the tube station I was rather shocked to find 20+ policeman in riot gear. I was more shocked having passed them when I saw what I counted to be at least 20 police vans, over 200 policeman, a police helicopter and about 30 policemen leading the way with alsations and then a column of rather sullen & angry looking men marching up the high street.
I went to take a photograph, but just before a policeman warned me not to, I had a feeling it might not be a good idea. 'Ah, it must be a BNP march', I thought.
Well no. It appears it was merely Leeds' fans off to watch Leeds v Millwall. Ah, the beautiful game.
