IMF raises UK growth forecast
It now expects the UK economy to record growth of 1.8% in 2008, up from April's forecasst of 1.6%. It expects 2009 growth to be 1.7%, up from 1.6% in April. Q4 on Q4 growth, which might give a slightly better representation of the slowdown was 2.8% in 2007, and is forecast to fall to just 1.3% this year, then rebound to 2.2% in 2009.Labels: economics
