No €30 note

Jim Higgins, an Irish MEP, apparently wants one. And Jean-Claude Trichet is not budging. It's quite a nice brush off, although Reuters suggest he has overlooked Tunisia (although perhaps they don't have a 3 dinar note so it doesn't quite follow the pattern).

The question now is what purpose would a €30 euro note serve? It's true the 20 euro note doesn't buy you much.
