Tomorrow's Times
Congratulations to
Oliver Kamm, who from tomorrow is going to write some of the leader columns in The Times. It's a far cry from where he began his 'old media' career, as the Noam Chomsky Affairs
columnist on Frontpage magazine, and a vindication of the power of blogging, a subject I know he has been very forthright on.
This also allows us the chance of a game - '
Guess the Oliver Kamm leader'. I believe there are three a day on the Times, and I presume Oliver won't write all of them. So from Tuesday we'll have a go - if it's about Noam Chomsky we'll start on Wednesday. The prize, now Mick's album is on every Daily Mail reader's CD shelf, is a copy of John Lloyd's great work, 'W
hat the Media is doing to our Politics'.

The End of an Era
I imagine some of my readers are already sleeping outside a Camden newsagents to make sure they are first in line, but for those not so up to speed with modern music trends prepare yourselves for a momentous announcement:
Stars is considered by many to be Simply Red's finest album and next week The Mail on Sunday is giving it away absolutely free.
Don't believe me? Click
here.
Obviously in one sense I am upset - no-one will enter my competitions any more.
[A big shout out to J.D for alerting me to this event of historical significance]

Facebook II
Thank you very much to all the people who have signed up as one of my Facebook friends [1]. As an spur to those of you who are still wavering (I calculate only 66.666% of my readers have signed up) I announce a incentivization scheme. If you sign up as one of my Facebook friends in the next 28 days I will enter you for a prize draw to win a copy of
Stars, by Simply Red. No strings attached and the chance of winning is going to be at least 1/3rd [1].
[1] Those loyal Friends (I think the capital is justified) who signed up without this incentive will be pleased to know I am gong to exclude them from the draw.
